You are truly a hero George!

WALHT: In reading this article, I have been leaning close reading  and inference skills to analyse text to learn more about the qualities of heroes.
George our hero
by Sue Gibbison

George saved a group of five children when two pit bulls came and tried to attack them. He barked at the dogs to scare them away, this gave the children time to escape.  Unfortunately,  he had to be put down at the local vet because the pit bulls had bitten George so badly that he couldn’t survive.

George’s act of giving time to the children to escape from the pit bulls showed an act of courage, bravery and that he was determined.

George believed in rescuing the group of children and only them. He also believed in having faith in himself and he was also determined for the children he saved. He was Taranaki’s hero using bravery and strength.

George was kind of hero that had bravery and had confidence because he was only a little dog and his competitors  were big and tuff.
