We are learning to develop understanding of the text that I have read.

Do you eat too many sweets?

All around the world, millions of children get diabetes from eating too many sweets.

Children should stop eating too many sweets because it will cause diabetes. Diabetes can cause your eyes and kidney to slow down. It can slow down your blood circulation. If you eat too many sweets you can become overweight.

  Eating too many sweets will cause your teeth to become rotten. It can cause cavities between our teeth. Bacteria are attracted to sugar so it can cause your teeth to rot. If you eat too many candies,  your teeth might fall out.

    Sweets gives children bad energy. Bad energy is energy that makes children hyper for a short period of time and then they will have low energy again. They lose their focus and become more easily distracted. However, there are natural sugar that is good for children like the sucrose from apples, bananas and other.

Eating too many sweets is bad because it may cause their teeth to rot, have diabetes or bad energy that may lead their bodies to shut down.

We are learning to use and understand the persuasive writing structure.

I know I can do this when I make a persuasive writing about why children shouldn't eat too many sweets.

Wow, there are a lot of symbols for the Holy Spirit!

We are learning to identify and understand the symbols of the Holy Spirit through the scripture stories.
I know I can do this when I match the symbols of the Holy Spirit to the Scripture stories.

I better do my chores now, or else my mum will growl me!

Mum, do you like the gifts that I have given you?

During the weekend my uncles, aunties, friends came over to my house to celebrate my mum's birthday.

Once everyone had arrived at our house, my friends and I went outside to play a game called Werewolves. How the game works is that someone pretends to be the werewolf and the other people are humans who are trying to run away from the werewolf (it's a similar game to hide and seek). I was good at this game because I only git tagged once and the other people were tagged at least four or more times.
    After that, we went to my room and we formed a club called C.Y.L (this stands for Cheska, Lingtan and Yssabelle). Basically we just play random games together. After that, it was time to have some food we all ran to the kitchen and said a prayer. After we prayed, I ate some spring rolls , chicken and rice I felt like I was in heaven because it was so delicious.
     Then I wished my mum 'Happy birthday' and gave her a card and a gift . It was a home-made bag. I also gave her a big kiss on the cheek. Later on, we played a game called Marco polo with Jane's sisters. The aim of the game is to not get tagged by the tagger.
     When that game ended, we went back to my room and talked about the powers that we wished we had.  I wanted fire and invisibility and Jane wanted time and fire. Yssabelle didn't want anything (I don't know why). Then all of a sudden my mum said it was time to go for everyone.

I had a lot of fun celebrating my mum's bithday and next time I hope we can celebrate her birthday for a longer period of time so that I can spend more time with my friends.

We are learning to use and understand descriptive language in my recount.
I know I can do this when I use appropriate adjectives and verbs in my writing.

During the weekends, Yssabelle and I went to our auntie's house because it was her birthday.

Once we arrived there, we said Happy birthday to our aunty Tina and she offered us some choconuts. After eating all the delicious choconuts, we went to the guest room and shot a video of us telling scary stories.

     Later on, our uncle Oliver invited us to the living room to introduce us to new people whom we haven't met before. After that, we invited them to the guest room and showed them around, we felt like we were tourist guides. Then we played Minecraft together because all of us love to play on it. We love it because you get to create stuff.

     After that we played another game called Marco polo. I didn't get tagged. They told me I was a Marco polo expert and I agreed.
     Next, it was time to eat and I was filled with joy because it is my favourite part of any birthday party. I ate some chicken and soup. (it was the best thing that I've ever tasted). Unfortunately after that, it was time to go home.
     I had fun celebrating my auntie's birthday because I got to celebrate her birthday with her and meet new people.
