During the weekend I went to my friend Jane's house because we haven't seen each other for a long time.
Once I got there my dad and I did our secret handshake and I gave him a big kiss on his cheek, "mwah!" The first thing we did was we ate dinner (of course). I had soup and chicken with green nutritious veggies.
After that we watched a movie called Minions. It was about how Gru became the Minions leader. When the movie was over we ran back to Jane's room as fast as Bolt because it was so cold in the living room and we had to go to bed now. While we were in bed we watched episodes called Element animations and it was one series about an egg's guide to minecraft and it was really funny because the egg kept on dying because of the monsters.
Eventually we fell asleep."Shggggggggggggggggggggggggg!" goes the dehumidifier waking me up early in the morning. Then I woke Jane up by shaking her as if she was in a washing machine. Next we watched another movie called Aquamarine. It was a mermaid trying to swim away from her father because he is so mean to her.
Next we ate some cookie toasted bread with some fresh water. When we were done we quickly went to my ipad and made our own mini movie about two worst enemies, a poor girl and a rich girl swapping bodies and they worked together to get back to the reality world. Sadly we didn't finish the movie because I had to go home. However, we did have fun making the movie because we used a green screen just like in the actual movie theatre.
I had an extraordinary time having a sleepover at Jane's house and next time I hope that we will get to finish our mini movie.
We are learning to use descriptive language in our recount.
I know I can do this when I use appropriate similes, adjectives and verbs to describe events and people.

Mr. Fox, please don't eat me!
On Saturday the 27th of June 2015, Philomena, her mum and I went to the swimming pool because it was a really hot day in winter.
Before long, we made it to the pools and raced to get there as fast as if we were having an Athletics day! It was very surprising when we got there because the entrance fee was free! So Philomena and I went to the girl's changing room and changed within a second.
As soon as we entered the automatic door the inside was packed with people ( that's why it felt even hotter) When we stepped inside the pool it was like we were in a cooking stove that was 250 degrees Celsius. Firstly we pretended to be like mermaids and made pretend evil potions to poison the humans inside the pool so that we could be alone.
Next we played pass the ball it was really funny because we kept on asking the wrong person to move and bumping to different people. After five minutes had passed, we moved on to a new game called 'What's the time Mr. Fox?'
In this game, you ask one of the other player what the time is and if they say 5 o'clock, you have to take five steps towards them. Once someone is close to the wolf, the wolf says "Dinner time!" and try to tag them. Philomena is good at playing the role of the wolf because she is a fast tagger.
Last but not least, we played 'Don't touch the hot boiling ground'. It was easy as learning your abc's for me because I am short so it was hard for Philomeana because she is tall. Then depressingly we had to go because it was time to go back to her house.
It was exciting playing with Philomena in the pools because we played cool games and I hope we get to go again soon.
We are learning to understand and use descriptive language.
I know I can do this when I use adjectives, verbs and similes correctly in my writing.

Awesome trip to Motat!
During the weekend, my family and I went to Motat. We were all very happy and excited about going to Motat because it was a family trip. The first thing that we did when we got there was we bought tickets for entry. Then we hopped on the tram that took us to the museum. The tram was really slow and it was moving like a snail.
When we reached the museum, we saw different types and sizes of old planes. The first plane we checked out was a big plane that had been painted with white, red and some blue stripes. My baby brother showed interest in the plane because he went under the barricade when we told him not to because it is off limits to the public. He got angry and he inflamed his temper! I felt sorry for my brother because he started to cry but he needed to learn to listen us. The clock striked 1 and we had to head back to Motat.
We entered Motat and we saw three white tents. The first tent had the science technology theme, another one was about pianos and the last one was about the olden days. After that, we went to the mirror maze. At first, my brother was really scared but he got the hang of it. When we were in there, he almost bumped his head so I stopped him from running. Then we had one last go inside the maze and I got a bit lost inside it.
Later in the day, we went inside a building where there were different types of old telephones. The first telephone I saw was a green rotary phone that had the telephone number on top of it and my dad was called me from another telephone. My brother and I were talking together like there was a big discussion going on.
After that, we had a look in the old train station, it showed us what it was like in the olden days. It felt like jail under the train station. When we were near the end, I saw a jandel and smooth wood so I tried to bang it and it made a loud sound. I tried another instrument and it had notes on how to play it and it was like I was a professional student. Then it was time to go home, so we packed up our things and went home.
I had a great time at Motat and so did my family. We got to see how things worked in the olden days.

The coolest weekend ever!
WALT a weekend recount.
Success criteria : I know I can do this when I can write my weekend writing.
Hi, my name is Cheska, I am nine years old. I live in Panmure. I like parties and here is a story of me in attending a birthday party.
After I went to church I went straight to a birthday party. When I arrived my cousin called me to go inside the house and I saw a bunch of kids there. My cousin introduced to them and one of them said" Do you punch. After that encounter I kept on following my cousin around because I was to shy too talk to the others.
Then the games started and the first game was spoon the water to the bowl. The first thing you have to do is to put one end to your mouth fill it with water then take it to the bowl and tip it. Then its the other persons turn.
It was the best day ever!!
