Where do I go?

In a bright sunny day on April the 30th my friends, auntie and I went to the city because it was my friend Yssabelle’s birthday.

“Honk, Honk” I jumped in excitement because they were here. I quickly, popped my shoes on and went to the living room to kiss my brothers on the cheek as a sign of goodbye. I rushed to the door and blessed my uncle (placing the hand of a Filipino person on your forehead is a sign of respect in the Filipino custom).  Then I ran to the car and saw two of my friends at the back seats. On the way, we were talking about where we’re going to live once we pass the age 21, We planned to only live in a apartment for two years.
After  minutes of chit chatting, we finally reached our destination. We walked our way into a underground room full of arcade games. Suddenly, my eye caught the registration area. Both Yssabelle and I ran past Alessandra and my auntie. As my shoe lace wasn’t tied properly, I tripped over and luckily there was a bean bag or I would’ve  been sitting in a hospital bed sulking because there was shattered glass on the floor.
Luckily, my aunt wasn’t looking because she was glaring at the shiny jewellery invitingly  displayed in a shop’s window, if she had seen me, I would have be in great trouble.  I swiftly got up, acting as if nothing had happened. After all that chaos, my aunt paid our entrance fee leading to an adventurous place. We wore light blue gloves so that we could sense more than using our hands. As our feet were walking one bye one, our hearts were beating fast because we were really excited on what was at the other side of the door.
The first room was like a technology bridge leading to a door. However, the bridge started to shake as if I was in an earthquake. Luckily I managed to cross by using the skill of  crawling to the other side. As I got up I saw my friends struggling to get across, so I pulled down a lever so that it would stop shaking. Although, it was really hard to find the door because it was pitch black the second I pulled down the lever.
While they were trying to find an exit from the horrifying room, I was using the sense of touch so that I could find our way out. Suddenly, I my hands slipped among a wall and I fell into this hole. I looked up and saw a jungle full of trees. “Alessandra, Yssabelle!”, I yelled. Both of them ran to me and looked up. They were both scared on what was in front of them because it was pitch black. We converged together so that we would know where everyone was. .
As my hands were sensing the crooked walls I felt a long furry strip, “Ahhhhhhh”, I yelled, thinking it was spider. I ran as quick as a lightning bolt striking to the earth. Unfortunately, I lost my friends. On the tip of my throat I yelled, “Guys, where are you?” There was no response. I searched the whole jungle, but there was no sign of them. I had no choice, but to continue on in the maze.
As soon as I laid a step on the next room, my friends jumped up and scared me to death. However, the room was beautiful because it was a sparkly glass room. On the wall, there was a picture frame that had a pink painting. I removed my gloves as I was told and placed bare hands on it. “Nothing’s happe, Ow”, it shocked me. An electrical current stung me on the tips of my fingers and stung my hands like a bee sting.
I had a feeling the next room was the last room, because my friend Yssabelle said that the maze was short. Opening the door, my eyes caught the sight of weird crystal goggles. Once I popped them on, it looked like Yssabelle’s head was decapitated and the walls around us were made out of crystals. After wearing them, there were zorbing balls, which were like human sized hamster balls. However, there were people in them so we just skipped that room. My eye caught a glazing door, that had signs saying, “COME IN, THE MYSTICAL DOOR,” and so on.
Alessandra opened the door and a blower blew wind and leaves to us. It was really hard crossing it because the force from the machine pushed me forward. I finally made it to the other side, there were millions (I mean millions) of pool noodles leading to the end of the maze. I swam to the other side, imagining that it was a swimming pool. Once I got to the end, I saw my auntie waiting there saying, “Well done!” My friends and I ran to her and hugged her because we were grateful to her for paying our entrance fee.

I had real fun going to the Odyssey Sensory maze and next time I hope that there would be more doors that would lead us to mystical places or rooms that had clues. It  would have to be the best experience of my life so far. I look forward to my next maze experience.

You should go to Goat island!

A trip to Goat island.

To explore new places in New Zealand.
By car

On a hot and sweaty Holiday, my family, friends, uncles, aunties and I went to Goat island to explore new places in New Zealand by car.

Once we got there the kids rushed to the toilet with their bags and got changed as fast as a cheetah running a kilometre. After, we ate food so that while we’re swimming in the beach we won’t go all the way where we parked and eat come back to the spot we sit on the beach. I ate beef and rice it was really yum and I was the first one to finish so I had to wait for a long time. After 20 minutes of waiting for them, all the kids raced to the island to our resting spot.

Then we raced to a rocky area to jump off and land on the water. Everyone was really scared of jumping off a big rock. They were all saying for my friend to jump off first because he was the oldest one. However, I just jumped off first so that we can get everything over with and as soon as my toes touched the water my body was freezing cold but it was okay because I got the hang of the water.

Then everyone started to jump off, we all explored the beach to see all kinds of fishes. While we were exploring the sea. I saw a crayfish one of the rare sea creatures to find in Goat island, then I yelled out, “crayfish” to my friends. However, they didn’t believe me because they said that it was a rare kind and that I could never find it (they’re just jealous)!  After that, bad news came along, it was that we had to go home. However it was okay because the next we got to go blueberry picking.

I had a lot of fun exploring new places in the North island of New Zealand and hopefully next time when I find a another crayfish I can use my gopro and take a video of it.

Mum, do you like the gifts that I have given you?

During the weekend my uncles, aunties, friends came over to my house to celebrate my mum's birthday.

Once everyone had arrived at our house, my friends and I went outside to play a game called Werewolves. How the game works is that someone pretends to be the werewolf and the other people are humans who are trying to run away from the werewolf (it's a similar game to hide and seek). I was good at this game because I only git tagged once and the other people were tagged at least four or more times.
After that, we went to my room and we formed a club called C.Y.L (this stands for Cheska, Lingtan and Yssabelle). Basically we just play random games together. After that, it was time to have some food we all ran to the kitchen and said a prayer. After we prayed, I ate some spring rolls , chicken and rice I felt like I was in heaven because it was so delicious.

When that game ended, we went back to my room and talked about the powers that we wished we had.  I wanted fire and invisibility and Jane wanted time and fire. Yssabelle didn't want anything (I don't know why). Then all of a sudden my mum said it was time to go for everyone.

I had a lot of fun celebrating my mum's bithday and next time I hope we can celebrate her birthday for a longer period of time so that I can spend more time with my friends.

Oh man, we didn't finish our movie!

During the weekend I went to my friend Jane's house because we haven't seen each other for a long time.
Once I got there my dad and I did our secret handshake and I gave him a big kiss on his cheek, "mwah!" The first thing we did was we ate dinner (of course). I had soup and chicken with green nutritious veggies.
After that we watched a movie called Minions. It was about how Gru became the Minions leader. When the movie was over we ran back to Jane's room as fast as Bolt because it was so cold in the living room and we had to go to bed now. While we were in bed we watched episodes called Element animations and it was one series about an egg's guide to minecraft and it was really funny because the egg kept on dying because of the monsters.
Eventually we fell asleep."Shggggggggggggggggggggggggg!" goes the dehumidifier waking me up early in the morning. Then I woke Jane up by shaking her as if she was in a washing machine. Next we watched another movie called Aquamarine. It was a mermaid trying to swim away from her father because he is so mean to her.
Next we ate some cookie toasted bread with some fresh water. When we were done we quickly went to my ipad and made our own mini movie about two worst enemies, a poor girl and a rich girl swapping bodies and they worked together to get back to the reality world. Sadly we didn't finish the movie because I had to go home. However, we did have fun making the movie because we used a green screen just like in the actual movie theatre.

I had an extraordinary time having a sleepover at Jane's house and next time I hope that we will get to finish our mini movie.

Mr. Fox, please don't eat me!

On Saturday the 27th of June 2015, Philomena, her mum and I went to the swimming pool because it was a really hot day in winter.

Before long, we made it to the pools and raced to get there as fast as if we were having an Athletics day! It was very surprising when we got there because the entrance fee was free! So Philomena and I went to the girl's changing room and changed within a second.

As soon as we entered the automatic door the inside was packed with people ( that's why it felt even hotter) When we stepped inside the pool it was like we were in a cooking stove that was 250 degrees Celsius. Firstly we pretended to be like mermaids and made pretend evil potions to poison the humans inside the pool so that we could be alone.

Next we played pass the ball it was really funny because we kept on asking the wrong person to move and bumping to different people. After five minutes had passed, we moved on to a new game called 'What's the time Mr. Fox?'

In this game, you ask one of the other player what the time is and if they say 5 o'clock, you have to take five steps towards them. Once someone is close to the wolf, the wolf says "Dinner time!" and try to tag them. Philomena is good at playing the role of the wolf because she is a fast tagger.

Last but not least, we played 'Don't touch the hot boiling ground'. It was easy as learning your abc's for me because I am short so it was hard for Philomeana because she is tall. Then depressingly we had to go because it was time to go back to her house.

It was exciting playing with Philomena in the pools because we played cool games and I hope we get to go again soon.

"I'm so sorry Olaf!"

During the holidays my family, friends, uncles, aunties and I ( except my mum and brother). We accompanied my auntie and uncle to the snow mountain so that they could experience the snow because they have never been there before.

Once we got there I rushed to put on my snow gear because I was so excited about touching the snow because I haven’t been there for two years. When I had finished changing into my gear, everyone gathered around because  my aunt had cooked some chicken and rice in a portable cooking range. As soon as the food was ready, I grabbed a plate and ate a lot because I was starving. I felt like I hadn’t eaten for millions of years.

Image result for mt ruapehuAfter we had finished our meal, all of my aunties went to the admissions office to purchase our entrance fee. Five minutes later we went on the chairlift to go on. When I was riding the chairlift It felt like I was like I was walking on Mt Everest because it was so high up.

The minute I got down from the chairlift with my auntie I felt relieved that my feet was back on the ground because it was super scary (I regretted the time that I looked bellow). The first activity that we did was sledding. However, we used big black rubbish bags instead of hiring sleds.

Then I built a snowman. However, I was only half making my snowman when my auntie shouted, “Snowball fight.” I was very good at snowball fights that I eventually hit everyone that was there. It was so much fun because I won. Unfortunately, after that, it was time to go because we had to explore other places in Whakapapa.

It was super spectacular going to Mt Ruapehu because I got to experience real snow for the third time and I hope that I’ll be able to finish my snowman so that Olaf will be proud of me.

What did you get for your birthday?

On the 23rd of May I went to Climb zone to celebrate my birthday with my family and friends.
Early that morning I excitedly woke my cousin up by shouting at her as loud as a megaphone. When everyone got dressed we took off in our car to get to the venue. As soon as we got there I saw Gabby and I gave her a big hug.
Then we went to our table to organize ourselves. When everyone was there the instructor gave us all a harness  and taught us on how to hook ourselves on. The first one I climbed  up was the Jungle forest and it really looked like I was running away form a wild crazy gorilla.
Later on,  I asked everyone if they wanted to play a game called Hide and Seek tag. Shannon and I had a secret which was very dark and we felt like we were in a real scary dark cave. When the coast was clear Shannon and I quickly ran to hide in the big, long and colorful slide. Unfortunately we got caught!
Everyone was so puffed so we all drank tons of water to energize us and to quench our thirst. Then they eagerly told me, "Open your gift please." I felt so happy and amazed with the presents I received.
It was the best birthday ever and next time I hope Rainbow's end's entrance fee turns cheap!

This is too loud!

During the weekend, my friend Yssabelle came to my house to have a play date.
We first played a game called Whisper challenge (it is when one person wears the headphones with loud music and the other person has to try and say a word quietly so the person with the headphones won't be able to guess the word.) I got the most the most points because I paid attention and watched her her lips.
Then we ate lunch because it is the second most important meal of the day. We ate some noodles because it was the easiest thing to cook. When we had finished our meal we weren't able to stand up after that because we were so full.
After that we played a game of heads up. To play this game you need cards or a device. You place it on your head and the other person will act it and you will guess the actions. After that, we played a game of hide n seek outside because we were bored.
Later on, we baked sugar cookies because everyone loves baking. Sadly the door bell rang and Yssabelle had to go. So we made up a secret handshake.
It was fun playing with Yssabelle and next time I hope we get to play a longer period of time.
