Have you ever had the time of your life?

On the 22nd of November I went to Celeste's Birthday.
Firstly we went to Kiwi yo to meet. After we ate frozen yoghurt, my friends and I went to smigle to check out there products. Oh no! It's 10:30 so we all rushed to the cinema and there Celeste was. We all hugged her as if
she was a celebrity.
Then we went to the directors lounge to wait for the movie to start. A few minutes later it was time to watch the movie however Celeste's auntie called us to line up. She told us to grab a drink, popcorn, m&m's and last but not least  ICE CREAM! It was like paradise. We walked up to Celeste's dad and what a surprise we had our own cinema.
However Shannon dropped half of her popcorn and the movie hasn't started. Shh! the movie's starting but we had a popcorn fight. The second to last row and the last row. We used popcorn, popcorn containers and m&m's.
Another funny moment was when Shannon, Gabby and I used the booster seats. Also Shannon spilt Gabby's drink three times. When the movie had finished all of us went to the arcade to play. 10 minutes later, we were all picked up.
I loved Celeste's Birthday It was the best Birthday ever because we watched Hunger games the mocking jay. The best part was when Shannon kept on spilling Gabby's drink and I steeped on the spilt popcorn and drink. Clumsy Shannon and I!

Hey you, speed up!

In a little crooked house a girl named Jane lived only with her dad because her mum died of a heart attack when she was young. One day her dad enrolled her into a school named St. Patrick’s school. She enrolled in the school at the right time because it was Athletics day the next day. Her teacher was named Miss Chao, she was really great and funny.
Jane met a friend and her name was Jade. They became best friends. Then it was Athletics Day!Everyone was organised and Jane was in Kauri team but Jade was in Rata.. It started off with the five year olds, then the six year olds, followed by the 7 year olds and then finally it was the 9 year olds turn to race. Jane came fourth place.
After all the races, she came third overall in the 9yr old. The last race was the 200 meters and Jane freaked out because she didn’t even signed up for that. She tripped over because Jasmine the bully put out her foot because Jane was catching up and so Jane came in last place However, everything worked out because her team mate came in second place and so Jane came in the three legged race Jane raced with her friend Kayla when they had almost reached the finish line Kayla tripped and Jane fell as well. It was really funny Jane got back up and she dragged Kayla to the end so they came third place.
Ring, ring, went the bell in lunch time all the kids went back to class to get their lunch .Jane went off the the lunchroom to buy a squeezit because she was thirsty after all the races. While Jane was gone, Jasmine went to Ms Chao and claimed that she will pass Jane's sausage to her. When Jane came back to class, Ms Chao told her that Jasmine took her sausage to give to her. So Jane went to Jasmine and asked her, "May I please have my sausage back?" But Jasmine very quickly stuffed the sausage into her mouth. However Ms Chao knew that because she is one of the secret spies in the SPS spies club. So Ms Chao
called Jane into the classroom to do the prank on her. Jane pulled out a hand and  Jasmine grabbed it and she screamed like an opera singer because she thought it was a real arm that she had pulled out.
When the school day ended, Jade walked home with Jane because her parents were in a vacation and Jade wasn't able to go because they didn't have enough money.
Everyone was really happy and Jasmine the bully became nicer than ever.

Maori dance
Last Friday Room 6 was split up into groups so we can perform a Maori dance. Firstly we needed to find our song on YouTube, We picked ‘Haere Mai’. Then our captain (Chaim) split us up into two small groups to practise the dance while the other focused on the lyrics. Chaim and Isaac later joined us for the dance and we didn’t notice that we were the loudest group because we were so engaged, So we lowered our volume and moved our table further back.
Miss Chao told us that we were performing on Monday. After morning tea, we went back to class and had one more practise so we can make sure that it’s our best performance. When we were almost finished with our practise, I felt really sad, almost like I was the new kid in the class. Then we learned the lyrics and we practised until lunch time. We had to make sure that we remembered the song.
After that we waited for our turn and the first group’s song was ‘A Haka Mana’. We were third to perform and I FREAKED OUT! We got into our position like a pyramid. We danced to the song and our song was ‘Haere Mai’, it was like we were performing on T.V. When we were done, we sat down and everyone clapped for us. We felt proud of our group because we all did our best. The next morning Miss Chao announced the winners and it was our group. We were really happy because we won.

Have you ever been to Kelly Tarltons?

During the weekend, my family and I went to Kelly Tarltons. Firstly we went inside to purchase the tickets for the entry. It was a long line as if the whole of New Zealand was there. Finally we reached the counter so my brother and I went to the fire truck to wait for my mum for the tickets. Once we got our tickets we went in and we saw old clothes and old rooms from the olden days

Then we entered a turning door and we saw little cute penguin. The first penguin that I saw was a baby penguin and I noticed that it was following my roll of paper so I tried doing tricks with it like I was a main character in a circus trick. Then my mum did the same thing as me, but instead of trying to follow it, it tried to eat it. The penguins were really cool to watch.

The next interesting door was filled with fish and ice. When we entered we saw a photo booth that had two penguins, so my brother and I took a picture in it. Then a show came on and it was daily feeding time for the big stingrays. One of the stingrays splashed water on me and it almost flew out of the aquarium.

Afterwards we had a break for some slushies.  We went to a chalkboard and these were pictures on how to draw sea creatures. After that we went to a turning ground that showed us different kinds of fish. It was breath-taking. Next we went to a seahorse room and there were fat ones and tall ones and one of the seahorses. After that tiring day, we went home and we were as tired as if we had been on a journey around the world.

It was was an adventurous day and I hope we get to explore elsewhere again soon.

Awesome trip to Motat!

During the weekend, my family and I went to Motat. We were all very happy and excited about going to Motat because it was a family trip. The first thing that we did when we got there was we bought tickets for entry. Then we hopped on the tram that took us to the museum. The tram was really slow and it was moving like a snail.

When we reached the museum, we saw different types and sizes of old planes.  The first plane we checked out was a big plane that had been painted with white, red and some blue stripes. My baby brother showed interest in the plane because he went under the barricade when we told him not to because it is off limits to the public. He got angry and he inflamed his temper! I felt sorry for my brother because he started to cry but he needed to learn to listen us. The clock striked 1 and we had to head back to Motat.

We entered Motat and we saw three white tents. The first tent had the science technology theme, another one was about pianos and the last one was about the olden days. After that, we went to the mirror maze. At first, my brother was really scared but he got the hang of it. When we were in there, he almost bumped his head so I stopped him from running. Then we had one last go inside the maze and I got a bit lost inside it.

Later in the day, we went inside a building where there were different types of old telephones. The first telephone I saw was a green rotary phone that had the telephone number on top of it and my dad was called me from another telephone. My brother and I were talking together like there was a big discussion going on.

After that, we had a look in the old train station, it showed us what it was like in the olden days. It felt like jail under the train station. When we were near the end,  I saw a jandel and smooth wood so I tried to bang it and it made a loud sound. I tried another instrument and it had notes on how to play it and it was like I was a professional student. Then it was time to go home, so we packed up our things and went home.

I had a great time at Motat and so did my family. We got to see how things worked in the olden days.
